ZYYX in Education

The Swedish ZYYX 3D printers have been used for a long time in the Edu sector. Our proprietary 3D printers are used at many primary and secondary schools as well as universities around Sweden and globally (see list at bottom of page).

The printers are very robustly built, and have automatic system for setting and calibration, making them very stable and easy to maintain in an Edu environment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

ZYYX was among the first in the market (2014) that took into account the users’ work environment. All ZYYX printers have a closed print chamber with built-in fan, activated carbon air filter and HEPA filter (HEPA since 2017/2018). The filters remove vapors and particles that form when the plastics are melted.

SUSTAINABILITY

Recycling System

From 2019, ZYYX launches a recycling system for PLA plastic, the most common 3d plastic. If you return spills, support materials and discarded prints, you receive a discount on your next purchase. For every kg of pure ZYYX plastic you send to us a 25% discount is obtained when you buy 1 kg of new or recycled PLA plastic. The recycled material is used to make new PLA rolls.

Long-term Durability

The ZYYX Labs’ philosophy includes that the printers should be upgradeable and easy to repair.

Just as the first printers from 2014/2015 (ZYYX Classic) can be upgraded with new metal wagons and improved software features, today’s printers can be upgraded with new features when they are launched. This applies to both software and hardware functions.

The solid construction together with the upgradability means that the printer will be able to be used for a long time to come.

Service and Repair

ZYYX Labs stocks a complete range of spare parts for all our printers at our warehouse in Gothenburg. There is also our service workshop. Since we have designed the printers ourselves, we have very good technical knowledge and can quickly find out what needs to be addressed in the event of any operational problems. Most often, we can quickly send a spare part and guide you through the exchange, which gives minimal downtime.

We offer additional solutions for increased reliability, such as service contracts as well as reviewing printers before intensive course periods. Contact us if you want to know more.
